Building Peace with Justice constantly investigates power relations, asks for the different perspectives involved in a conflict, and strives to pay specific attention to those, whose voices are usually silenced. In this regard, postcolonial studies provide indispensable knowledge and wisdom.
This series of public lectures intends to provide some more general ways of thinking as well as presenting examples from specific contexts. The theme of the series is Postcolonial Approaches to Building Just Peace.
Each year, the ACRPJ organizes a series of public lectures. Unfortunately, last year this had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus. We are very glad that this year, we have the opportunity to have the public lectures online, through Zoom.
To kick off the series of lectures, Prof. Dr. Fernando Enns & Friederike Cord will speak on “Epistemic Violence” – Revisiting Just Peace from Postcolonial Perspective(s).
This lecture will take place on April 1st, from 13:30 – 15:15 (GMT+2).
